The publication contains a facsimile reproduction of the handwritten copy of the Lay about Igor's Campaign. This handwritten list is made on a special material - birch bark. This is the first work of the Kiev lawyer and calligrapher Yury Khrapai on the handwritten reconstruction of famous monuments of Old Rus' writing. The publication uses special paper, which allows you to convey the smallest details of handwritten font, miniatures, as well as the sacred color of birch bark - the material on which the manuscript is written.
Description of the publication.
The edition of the handwritten reconstruction of the Word about Igor's Campaign was published in June 2012 with a circulation of 500 copies. In addition to the handwritten text of the Lay about Igor's Campaign, the publication presents a modern reconstruction and poetic translation of the Lay by Ivan Franko. Given the small circulation, its design and the uniqueness of the material (birch bark) on which the manuscript of the “Words” is written, this edition is a bibliographic rarity and a collection value for admirers of the history and culture of Rus-Ukraine
This edition was the first published handwritten reconstruction of the "Word" in the medieval book style by a Ukrainian author

490 copies bound in fabric or imitation leather. Part of the edition is decorated with a silver-plated medal with scenes on the theme of the Word about Igor's Campaign
10 collectible copies bound and in a case made of genuine leather with ornamental embossing in the medieval style. All these copies differ in the color of the leather binding, endpapers, and decorative elements. Each of them is numbered and certified by the signature of the author of the handwritten reconstruction.
