The legend of holy princes Boris and Gleb

The manuscript was created in Kyiv in 2014-2015

The "Legend" is dedicated to the martyrdom of knyaz Boris and Gleb - the sons of the Grand Kyiv Duke Volodimir the Holy. Our handwritten reconstruction exactly repeats the text of the “Legend” from the handwritten Sylvester Collection of the 14th century. The front miniatures in our reconstruction are identical to the miniatures from the Sylvester Collection.

capital  headband and 7 handwritten initials in teratological style
